Liverpool enter race to sign Chelsea midfield target

Liverpool have entered the race to sign Chelsea target Lamine Camara from AS Monaco, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.
The Blues were determined to bring the Senegal international to the club on deadline day, but the transfer collapsed at the 11th hour.
Monaco opted against his departure in the end, and it is highly unlikely that the Blues will make a renewed proposal in January.
Still, the 22-year-old could end up in the Premier League this winter with Liverpool, who are closely monitoring his league performances.
The Reds did not sign a marquee midfielder despite selling Curtis Jones, but they are likely to pursue a new solution in early 2027.
Camara has now emerged as an option for the Merseyside giants, and they could make a formal bid when the transfer window reopens.
Monaco seemed prepared to accept £47m for Camara from Chelsea at one point, and the Ligue 1 side could demand a higher fee in January.
