Man Utd set return date for Carlos Baleba

Manchester United have reportedly set a date for midfielder Carlos Baleba to make his competitive debut.

The Cameroon international joined the Red Devils from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer despite suffering an ankle injury in pre-season.

Baleba has yet to return to team training with United and it is now revealed that he won't be involved against Brighton & Hove Albion or Fulham.

The midfielder will also miss the games against Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid after the international break, but could be involved in the derby against Leeds United on October 18.

Baleba had a dismal 2025/26 season with Brighton. His form and performance levels dipped after he failed to secure a move to United.

He has finally got the opportunity to play for the Red Devils, and it remains to be seen whether he can make a good impression from the off.

United are already under immense pressure with just four points secured from as many league games. They face a tricky challenge against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday.
