Four Man Utd stars withdraw from international duty

Manchester United have confirmed that four players have withdrawn from international duty.

The Red Devils have had a dismal start to the Premier League campaign, picking up just five points from as many matches.

The players will now head for an international break, and United have confirmed that four players have subsequently withdrawn.

Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo picked up injuries against Fulham yesterday and have therefore decided to pull out of the England squad.

Alongside them, Karl Darlow and Benjamin Sesko have done the same. The latter did not travel to west London due to a minor shin concern.

United manager Michael Carrick is already under immense pressure and he can ill-afford any long-term injuries before the campaign resumes.

The Red Devils host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford after the international break and the game appears a must-win already.

Anything other than a victory could lead to the departure of Carrick. The hierarchy are already lining up possible replacements for him.
