Real Madrid frontrunners to land Man Utd wonderkid

Real Madrid are reportedly in pole position to land Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel on a scholarship contract next month.

The 15-year-old is one of the best emerging wingers at the youth level, but he has made up his mind to leave the Red Devils pretty soon.

JJ Gabriel can sign a scholarship deal when he turns 16 on October 6, and the youngster has no desire to continue with the Mancunian giants.

Instead, he wants to pursue a career abroad, and he is eligible to do so before his 18th birthday, as he also holds an Irish passport.

Barcelona have recently distanced themselves from the youngster, and this leaves Madrid in pole position to land his services next month.

Bayern Munich have also been in contact with his entourage, but the player could prefer starting his career in the Spanish top-flight.

JJ Gabriel has asked to be deregistered by United this month, and that is likely to happen in the near future before his Madrid move.
