Crystal Palace accelerating contract talks with Man Utd target

Crystal Palace are accelerating contract talks with Manchester United target Tyrick Mitchell ahead of the New Year, according to Teamtalk.

The Englishman has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League, and he has been touted for a bigger challenge as his contract expires in June next year.

United have already made contact with his entourage, but they are not alone in the player's pursuit, with Liverpool and Chelsea keeping tabs too.

Amidst this, Palace have started discussions with the player's agency and remain determined to persuade Mitchell to extend his contract.

The Eagles are optimistic about striking a renewal with the 27-year-old soon. If there is no breakthrough, he could be sold at the turn of the year.

Palace accepted just £20m for Marc Guehi's sale to Manchester City last winter after the Englishman declined to renew beyond June 2026.

Mitchell could be sold for a similar fee if there is a stand-off.
