Liverpool favourites to land Brentford star ahead of Arsenal

Liverpool are reportedly leading Arsenal in the pursuit of Brentford right-back Michael Kayode ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Italian has been a key player for the Bees over the past 18 months, and it may not be long before he pursues a bigger challenge.

The Reds have been closely monitoring his progress at the west London side and have identified him as a top target to bolster the right-back department.

The Merseyside giants are leading Arsenal in monitoring the player and could make a formal approach in January or next summer.

Brentford are unlikely to entertain mid-season offers for the former Fiorentina man, but may contemplate his departure at the end of the campaign.

The Bees are unlikely to let him go on the cheap and reports claim that it could take at least £51m to persuade them into sanctioning his sale.

Kayode is fully committed to the Bees as things stand, but he has his sights on playing Champions League football in the prime of his career.
