Liverpool weighing up move for another Barcelona star

Liverpool are reportedly looking into a deal for Barcelona right-back Jules Kounde.

The Merseyside giants signed Ronald Araujo on loan from Barcelona last summer with an option to buy.

The Uruguayan is primarily a central defender, but he has impressed as a right-back for the Reds thus far.

However, the Anfield giants want to add more quality in the position amid Jeremie Frimpong's struggles.

Frimpong has failed to adapt to the higher intensity of the Premier League and could be on his way out next year.

Kounde has been identified as a potential target for manager Andoni Iraola, and an approach could be made.

The Frenchman's contract only expires in June 2030, but his future continues to remain a topic of speculation.

Kounde has only started 50 percent of Barcelona's matches this term, and the club are open to selling him for the right price.

Liverpool are not alone in the race, with Chelsea and Arsenal keeping tabs. Kounde could be permitted to leave for £45 million.
