Man Utd suffer fresh injury blow after Leeds draw

Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow with Lisandro Martinez sustaining a thigh issue against Leeds United in the Premier League.

The Argentine partnered Harry Maguire in the heart of the defence against the Whites, but he had to be substituted at the interval due to a thigh concern.

This forced manager Michael Carrick to bring on Noussair Mazraoui, and United went into a back three for the second half against Leeds.

After the 1-1 draw, Carrick confirmed a thigh problem for Martinez, and it was the sole reason behind his half-time substitution at Elland Road.

United have now gone six matches without a victory and face another stern challenge against Como away from home in the Champions League.

They face the Serie A side on the road on Wednesday night, and it remains to be seen whether Martinez will be deemed fit for the encounter.

The Red Devils were without Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo with minor injuries today, but they could return to face Como in midweek.
