Fabian Hurzeler rejects Man Utd talk

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, insisting his full attention remains on his current role.
Rumours have connected Hurzeler with Old Trafford, but the Brighton boss made it clear at a press conference that he is not spending time considering the reports. With his side in a demanding run of fixtures, he said there is little room for outside noise.
“I am really focused on my job here,” Hurzeler told reporters. “I have no time to think about these rumours because we play every three days.”
The comments come as Brighton prepare for their clash with Liverpool, with Hurzeler keen to keep the focus on immediate matters rather than speculation about his future. His response was firm but measured, underlining both his commitment to Brighton and his reluctance to fuel further discussion around Manchester United.
Hurzeler also spoke respectfully about Michael Carrick, praising the work he has done with United and stressing that there is no issue between the pair.
“Beside that, I have a lot of respect for Michael Carrick, for what he has done with Manchester United at the end of last season,” Hurzeler added. “He is a great human being, he is a great personality. Every time we meet each other, we have a really good relationship, so therefore I really respect him and there is nothing more to say about that.”
For now, Hurzeler’s stance appears straightforward: he is focused on Brighton, respects Carrick, and has no intention of engaging further with the Manchester United rumours.
