Man Utd planning two signings for January?

Manchester United are prepared to spend on two players during the winter transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The Red Devils have had a horrendous start to the Premier League campaign, and they are only goal difference adrift of the drop zone.

Michael Carrick continues to retain the club's faith for the head coach role, but there are genuine concerns after just nine matches.

United's board are prepared to stick with Carrick for the moment, and could also be willing to provide more funds to bolster the squad.

A new attacking player could be targeted at the turn of the year and it is claimed that Barcelona's Fermin Lopez is a top choice.

The club are also exploring the possibility of landing a new defender and could prioritise strengthening the left-back position.

Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu have been out injured for some time and there is room for another top quality acquisition there.

Shaw's current deal expires at the end of the campaign and may not be renewed. Hence, the club could spend big on a left-back.
