Gomes: I'd rejoin PSV Eindhoven
New Tottenham goalkeeper Huerelho Gomes has admitted he would be more than happy to consider returning to Holland to play for PSV Eindhoven. The Spurs keeper had only recently completed a £7 million switch to the Premiership.
âBoth me and my family have Eindhoven, PSV and their supporters in our hearts forever,â read Gomesâ letter on PSVâs official website.
âWe will follow the clubâs achievements with a keen interest. On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to sincerely thank the club, the squad and PSVâs fantastic fans for their great support.
âI wish I could say goodbye to everybody in person and hopefully, I will have an opportunity once to do so.
âI am grateful to the Dutch population for giving me such a wonderful reception. I have always been treated with friendship and respect, also during the away games, even though the home fans will not always have liked my shot-stopping capacities.
âI have the deep wish to be able to defend the PSV goal again sometime. Nobody knows when that will happen but hopefully I will then enjoy the same wonderful reception.â
