Xabi Alonso future uncertain

Xabi Alonso's agent Inaki Ibanez has admitted that his client could well be looking to leave the club in the January transfer window. The Liverpool midfielder has been linked with a switch to Arsenal.

"We will see what happens in January," he told The Times.

"At the moment Xabi is concentrating on playing well for Liverpool.

"No agreement was reached to sell him, so mentally he is a Liverpool player.

"January is a long time away."
