Sidwell could return to Reading

Steve Sidwell has been linked with a move from Chelsea back to Reading on loan in the January transfer window. Reading's form seems to have dipped since the ex-Arsenal man departed and Sidwell has played very little football at Chelsea.

Should Sidwell not feature in Avram Grant's plans, it is expected he could be allowed to join Reading for the second half of the season.

Sidwell had joined Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer, but Steve Coppell has moved to reject that the player could rejoin.

However, when it comes to January, Sidwell may be available on a short-term loan which may suit all parties involved.
