Ramos wont quit

The Spurs boss Juande Ramos announced that he will not walk away from his job although his team has the worst start in the Premier League since 1912.

Tottenham remain at the bottom of the table with no wins in seven league games - something that never came in their worst nightmares! The Spurs management had brought Ramos to inspire the North London club and to lead them to a top four finish.

Ramos had been signed from Sevilla for a £4M annual salary, the board wanted him to repeat the UEFA Cup success with the Spurs. The Spaniard could not inspire the team and the departure of two prolific scorers - Berbatov and Keane has added to his misery.

Although Ramos has signed the exciting Luka Modric and Giovani dos Santos, this has not helped the club. Their problem remains in the scoring area, Russia's European Cup hero Roman Pavlyuchenko has not responded well.

Ramos has clearly not been able to live up to the expectations of the fans and the board, is more likely to be sacked if he can't inspire his lads to win matches.

When asked about his decision, he said that "This is my job, I am the same whether we win or lose, sometimes results are difficult to explain."

The Spurs will have to shell out £15M as severence if they are to sack him. The board of directors will be hoping that Ramos will be able to turn the table and get the team going as they know it is tough to find a good replacement for him.
