Everton weigh up Hunt move

Everton are considering a January transfer swoop for wantaway Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt, and are set to go head to head with Sunderland to persuade the Irishman to join them from the Royals.

Everton are more than happy to cough up the £5 million to activate Stephen Hunt's minimum fee release clause.

David Moyes has indicated that he hopes to add some new blood to his squad in January, and the acquisition of Hunt would be a useful start for the Everton coach.
