Schuster unhappy with strikers

Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster was disappointed with his strikers failure to put the ball in the back of the net, after Almeria grabbed a late 1-1 draw against the Galacticos. Raul put Madrid in front before half time, but Pablo Piatti rescued a point for the minnows.

“We have let two points slip away and once again, it’s because we were not able to make use of our chances,” he said during the post-match conference.

“We were comfortable in controlling the game but that means nothing because we couldn’t finish off our counter attacking moves when Almería were busy looking for the equalizer.

“We have more than enough quality upfront to kill off a game and to win three points, we have to be able to do that."
