Newcastle for Michael Johnson

Newcastle are rumoured to be moving a step closer to sign the impressive coup of Michael Johnson for a reported £8 million GBP fee from Manchester City.

Johnson showed signs of being well on his way to becoming a class act for the Citizens, but the huge spending power of Mark Hughes' side has now seen his opportunities limited.

It is understood that the player will be at St. James' Park later to thrash out personal terms with the club.
