Fiorentina's Eboue move stalls
Patalino Corvino has insisted that Fiorentina's move for Emmanuel Eboue has stalled because of the huge fees requested by Arsenal for the release of the Ivory Coast international. Arsenal are chasing £8 million for Eboue.
The Fiorentina chief quipped: âEmmanuel Eboue and Luisao are still too expensive and Iâve made my last offer. Hopefully they will come, otherwise we will get someone else. Lorenzo De Silvestri instead wants too much for his contract.
âEdinho would be good in midfield but Tiberio Guarente and Fernando from Porto are important options too, which we are considering patiently.
âI just hope people wonât continue talking about Felipe Melo. Last year they were saying we shouldnât have signed him. Now I fear everybody will carry on saying that we miss him.
âEduardo Salvio from Lanus is one of the best youngsters but we are covered in that role.â
