Heinze to join Marseille

Real Madrid defender Gabriel Heinze is to end his horror spell with the club and is set to return to France and link up with Marseille. The 31 year old will sign a three year deal at the L'OM.

Heinze has grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of opportunities at the Bernebeu, and is now set to move to France to resurrect his career.

Heinze had a spell with Paris St Germain in France before moving to Man Utd, so knows the Ligue 1 and standard of football well.
