Newcastle have transfer struggles
Newcastle boss Chris Hughton has admitted he is struggling to decide on players to bring to St. James' Park next season, as he is battling with a tight budget and a need for new signings.
âItâs slow at the moment and that is to be expected,â said Hughton, who has sensibly refused to discuss any specifics regarding the amount of money he has to work with this summer.
âThere isnât going to be the same amount of money knocking around and I think everyone is trying to be that little bit wiser at the moment, because the market has changed.
âWe donât want to leave things until the last minute, and I donât think that will happen, but we are also mindful of the fact everybody is waiting at the moment and assessing what they need. I donât expect anything to happen in the next couple of weeks.
âThe fact this is a World Cup year has not helped things move quickly because everybody is waiting to see what happens there as well. The situation is constantly changing though. Itâs slow, but things are moving the whole time."
