Newcastle swoop for Darron Gibson?

Newcastle look set to do battle with rivals Sunderland for the coveted signature of Man Utd midfielder Darron Gibson. Sunderland had already made a bid for the player, but it seems Newcastle will trump that offer with a £4 million bid.

The 23 year old has finally decided that he cannot wait any longer for first team football at Old Trafford, and is eyeing a move away from the Manchester United.

Sunderland and Newcastle are both expected to be very busy in the transfer window, and both will do battle for the highly rated youngster.
