Man City out of Sanchez race

Man City have all but been ruled out of the race to sign Chile and Udinese attacker Alexis Sanchez, after the son of the president of Udinese revealed Barcelona are the only club prepared to do business.

Gino Pozzi, the son of the Udinese president, revealed that Barcelona were the only side who could win the race: "Negotiations continue with Barcelona. We are waiting for the evolution, even if it's quite a complex deal.

"We continue to work only on (one) table because with Manchester City we never opened the deal; the guy just wants Barcelona!"
