Modric eyes Chelsea move

Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric is expected to tell Spurs bosses that he wants to leave the club; and that he would like to move to Chelsea next year.

According to reports, Chelsea have had a "derisory" 20m GBP rejected, and Spurs are looking for closer to 40m GBP for the Croatian midfielder.

Tottenham paid 16.6m GBP for the midfielder back in 2008; the player is now valued at more than double that by his club.

There are reports that Modric will hand in a transfer request this week.
