Getafe upset Barcelona
Barcelona's inconsistencies continue as they were comfortably defeated 2-0 by a resurgent Getafe side in the Primera Liga on Saturday night.
The Catalans, who produced an entertaining display to crush Real Betis 3-0 last week, were below-par throughout the game and couldn't break through Getafe defense.
Manuel del Moral gave the hosts the lead in the 28th minute when he caught Barca defenders napping to receive a header inside the area and steer the ball past Victor Valdes.
Barcelona had Italian full-back Gianluca Zambrotta, who came on as a substitute, sent-off five minutes from time after he was shown a straight red card.
Uruguay's Juan Albin ensured the victory in stoppage time when he latched on to a pass on the left side of the area by Ikechukwu Uche to slot home, taking advantage of terrible marking by Carles Puyol.
Barcelona missed out on going temporarily on top as are second in the league table with 24 points, one behind Real Madrid who face Mallorca on Sunday.
