Preview: Derby vs West Ham

Derby are looking for only their second Premiership win of the season, but West Ham know three points will take them into the top half of the Premiership. Derby have the weakest attack in English league football and if are to get anything out of this match, must score goals against the Hammers, who are undefeated in four games.

Derby boss Billy Davies is hoping striker Kenny Miller will be fit to face West Ham after a hamstring problem. Miller has returned to training and looks to be on course to face the Hammers. Claude Davis and Andy Todd will miss out.

Midfielder Freddie Ljungberg, striker Dean Ashton and defender James Collins could return, but Mark Noble will miss out.

Bywater wants confidence boost against old club

"Then there is an international break and with teams around us playing each other hopefully we can have a good week off next week, not being in the bottom three. It will be a big confidence boost.

"It is not nice to come to training when you have been beaten and having two weeks off, mentally, it is nice to have a good result."

Curbs: injury frustration

"The injury situation is unprecedented. Julien Faubert and Kieron Dyer are the long-term ones and they will be out for a while.

"Other players keep making comebacks, but as soon as many of them do, they suffer another setback. It can be very frustrating."
