Sami Khedira to stay at Real Madrid in January
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that German international Sami Khedira is unlikely to leave the club during the winter transfer window ahead of alleged interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
The World Cup winner has been heavily linked with a winter switch to the Premier League, with the Gunners and Blues keen on having a bidding war for his services.
However, Ancelotti has revealed that the club will not offload Khedira in the New Year, and will try to extend his deal or let him on a Bosman next summer.
"We still have until June to renew his contract," He said. "I think the club intends to renew the deal and if he does not want to then he will remain here until to the end of season."
Real Madrid thrashed Levante by a 5-0 scoreline in La Liga on Saturday.
