City to get Castillo

Man City look set to complete the signing of 23 year old Mexican striker Nery Castillo on loan for the season from Shakhtar Donetsk. The player was bought by the Ukrainians in the summer, but has fallen out of favour.
City were in the running to sign Castillo from Olympiakos at the time, and have now completed a one-year loan deal with Shaktar, with option to buy.
"There has been an agreement with Manchester City so that Nery can be with the club for one year on loan and so he can prove himself, so he can play active football," Castillo's agent, Jose Luis Padilla, told Mexican television.
"Nery just wanted to play and that was not happening at Shakhtar," Padilla said. "Nery is now in England to iron out in the next few hours the final details of his contract."
