Ronald Koeman wants Van Dijk reunion
Everton head coach Ronald Koeman is reportedly keen on a reunion with Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk. The centre-back was brought to St.Mary's under the Dutchman's management last season.
According to The Star. the Toffees boss is eager to recruit a new centre-half in January with the club yet to overcome the loss of John Stones to Manchester City in the summer.
Van Dijk had a great relationship with Koeman at the South Coast, and it is believed that the former Celtic man would favour a move to Merseyside in the future.
The Netherlands international is undoubtedly one of the Premier League's most effective defenders, and his progress has also captured the attention of Manchester United and Liverpool.
Southampton are said to value Van Dijk in excess of £40m, but it is yet to known whether they could cash in on his services in the New Year.
