Beckham left out of England squad
Fabio Capello has left David Beckham out of his first match in charge for England.
This means that David Beckham will have to wait for his 100th cap.
Capello, who also dropped Beckham at Real Madrid, is thought to have had doubts over his match fitness.
The Italian will name his provisional party at 1530 GMT on Thursday, with the final squad announced on Saturday.
Although Beckham has trained with Arsenal football club and has openly stated that he is fully fit, it is not enough to convince Capello that he is ready to play for England as he has not played a competitive game since November.
Beckham will now have to waiit his 100th cap and join an exclusive club of players which include Peter Shilton, Bobby Moore, Sir Bobby Charlton and Billy Wright.
