Italian star wants to join Arsenal or Man Utd?

Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is determined to join Arsenal or Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Manchester Evening News.

The Italian was linked with a deadline day move to the Gunners last winter. His agent had contacted the Gunners, but Arsenal did not make a formal offer to the Magpies.

Mikel Arteta's side continue to remain keen admirers of the 26-year-old, but it is claimed that Tonali would also be open to joining the Red Devils ahead of next season.

Tonali has been quiet regarding his future on a personal level, but there is anticipation that he will push for a departure in the coming weeks.

The Magpies don't face the urgency to sell Tonali after Anthony Gordon's £70 million transfer to Barcelona, and could demand a higher fee to part ways with him.

It has recently been reported that they could hold out for as much as £100m for the former AC Milan man. Manchester City have also been linked with him this month.
