Arsene Wenger to sign two-year extension
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be handed a new two-year contract regardless of Saturday's FA Cup result against Chelsea.
The 67-year-old has been frequently questioned over his contractual status with his existing deal due to expire at the end of the campaign.
According to The Mirror, Wenger will be rewarded with a fresh two-year deal irrespective of what happens in the Wembley showpiece later this afternoon.
The long-standing manager has received criticism for having failed to build a title-winning squad over the past decade, and this has led to calls for him to quit at the end of the season.
In spite of this, a section of the fans still believe that he is the right man for the job, and a huge summer spending spree could turn the club's fortunes ahead of next season.
Arsenal will not have the luxury of Champions League football to attract top recruits this summer after they finished outside of the league's top four for the first time under the Wenger era.
