Boussoufa happy with Toon link

Anderlecht forward Mbark Boussoufa is delighted to be linked with a move to Newcastle in the Premiership. The striker has been in excellent form in the Jupiler League and several clubs have already expressed an interest in the player.

“I’m flattered by Newcastle’s interest. I spent two years with Chelsea, so I know what English football is all about,” he was quoted as saying in The Daily Star.

“I was on the point of breaking into the Chelsea first team before Roman Abramovich arrived. He signed seven star players and the youngsters did not get their chance.

“I would not say no to a good offer from England. If Newcastle want me they must first speak to my club and then I’ll gladly listen to what they have to say.”
