Rosicky to miss Euro 2008
Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky looks set to miss out on the Euro 2008 through injury after failing to recover. The Czech Rep midfielder was certain to be part of Karel Bruckner's squad for the tournament.
The midfielder chose to reveal the blow himself, rather than through his coaches.
"I have no other option than to undergo the operation," Rosicky said, adding he was unsure how long it would take to recover. "The tendon is likely more damaged than it had seemed.⦠This is the worst period of my career."
Rosicky is confident the team will do well without him: "I'm an optimist. I think that the Czech team will be successful at the championship even without me, I trust the team."
