Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has his sights on returning to Manchester United at the end of the campaign, according to Daily Mail.

The 61-year-old is currently a free-agent following his sacking at Roma. He recently turned down a lucrative proposal to move to Saudi Arabia.

Daily Mail claim that Mourinho has unfinished business at Old Trafford and he is eager to take up a second opportunity of managing United.

The legendary head coach has made it his mission and he is ready to work under the new regime which will be managed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Erik ten Hag's job is currently safe but he will be feeling the pressure of expectations. His tenure will be carefully monitored until the summer.
