Todibo on his way to Man Utd?

Manchester United have been handed the chance to sign Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo on a cut-price deal this summer.

The Frenchman was a top target for the Red Devils in August last year, but they could not afford him amid FFP concerns.

The club did not return for his services in January, but could make a renewed approach during the upcoming transfer window.

According to TalkSPORT, Todibo's valuation has reduced to around £40m amid Nice's struggles in Ligue 1 recently.

The club are no longer in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League and could now sell Todibo for less.

Tottenham Hotspur are also admirers of the former Toulouse man, but United should have a clear edge in the race.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is the owner of Nice, is also a minority investor in United. He has control over football operations.

This should hand United an advantage over Spurs in the pursuit of the Frenchman, who is open to a bigger challenge.
