Manchester United are ready to accept £20 million to part ways with Harry Maguire at the end of the season.

The Englishman was linked with a £30m move away from Old Trafford last summer, but a deal did not materialise in the end.

Maguire was reluctant to accept a significant pay-cut at West Ham United. The Red Devils were ultimately happy to keep him.

Maguire has proved the decision right with several good displays, but the new hierarchy are still open to selling him this summer.

They are willing to allow his departure of around £20m, but Maguire would still need to lower his salary to secure a transfer.

Aside from Maguire, Victor Lindelof could also head for the exit door if United receive a reasonable transfer fee for him.

Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are other centre-backs that could depart. Their contracts are due to expire at the end of June.

United are planning to sign at least two marquee central defenders. It could partly depend on the funds recouped from player exits.
