Arsenal to bid for Skjelbred

Per Ciljan Skjelbred is eager to make a move to Arsenal, according to reports emanating from Norway this morning. It is understood that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a fan of the young Norway international, but is not yet sure whether to make a bid for the player.
Skjelbred has been at Rosenborg since 2004, and has shown over and over again that he is a very talented player.
He has also forced his way into the Norway first team, after some impressive displays for his club Rosenborg.
He is valued in the region of £5.5 million by Rosenborg, but the Gunners will have to do battle with a series of other clubs chasing the player; including Fenerbahce, Torino, Atletico Madrid and Birmingham.
