Arsenal plan to keep Nasri and Cesc

11 July 2011 - 08:49

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has kick started his pre-season preparations by signing Ivorian winger Gervinho; and today he announced that Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri will both be part of his plans for the season ahead at Arsenal.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The news comes as quite a shock to many, as Fabregas was expected to complete a move to boyhood club Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Samir Nasri remains locked in talks with Arsenal regarding a new contract; and several of the Gunners' Premier League rivals have an interest in the France international winger.

It seems though that Arsenal boss Wenger remains confident that the duo will remain for the 2011/2012 season.

Speaking on the tour of the Far East, where Arsenal are traveling through Malaysia and into China, Wenger said: "We expect to keep Cesc and Samir at the club for next season."
