Aguero set for Man City move talks

24 July 2011 - 07:56

Sergio Aguero will sit down with his current club Atletico Madrid on Monday, in an effort to thrash out a move to England to link up with Manchester City. The Argentine is being mooted as the best possible replacement for Carlos Tevez, who may quit the Etihad Stadium this summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Roberto Mancini has been chasing Aguero for over two weeks, and admitted that the player was his top priority.

The City boss said: "Aguero is young and can start to score a lot. He will become a top striker. He is 23 and now is his time.

"He is like Carlos Tevez and could play with Carlos, or Edin Dzeko or Mario Balotelli.

"He can play as first striker or second striker. He has good technique. After many years in a top club like Atletico Madrid he can play Premier League.
