Chelsea linked with Yann M'Vila

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Rennes star player Yann M'Vila, despite the interest in Oriol Romeu. Chelsea are looking for a replacement for the injured Michael Essien, and have turned their attentions to M'Vila.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has apparently prepared a £8m package to bring M'Vila to Stamford Bridge.



A Rennes spokesman said last month: “He will be with us this season, just as we have been saying for some time now.



“We have already started our preparations for the new season so it is out of the question that we would allow ourselves to be weakened by selling someone now. I have never received any offers for him."
