Chelsea and Torres resolve differences

Chelsea and Torres resolve differences

14 September 2011 - 01:54

Andre Villas-Boas and Fernando Torres appear to have resolved their differences, after the Spanish striker had a meeting with his manager. Torres had reportedly complained about lack of service from his team mates, who he said were "old" and "very slow".

  • Fernando Torres has so far struggled since joining Chelsea from Liverpool, scoring only once since January.

Torres was back in the starting line up yesterday, as Chelsea defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0.

''We had a chat and the situation is solved. The investigation is over,'' Villas-Boas said.

''You saw the player involved and he put in a good collective performance, like the team did. Hopefully these things won't arise in the group again. If they do, it will be the manager who has to resolve it.''
