Taarabt must earn new QPR deal

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt must prove himself on the pitch before he receives a new contract at Loftus Road.

Taarabt is believed to be on a salary of 25,000 GBP per week, but hopes to at least double that with a new contract.



However, manager Neil Warnock wants the player to prove himself first: "There are plenty [in the queue] before him – me included.



"I don’t see any new contracts for anybody before Christmas. We’ve all got things to prove and we’ve got to do it consistently.



"When you’ve had a good game for an hour, you don’t start spouting.



"You start spouting when you’ve got eight, nine, ten goals coming up to Christmas."
