Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt must prove himself on the pitch before he receives a new contract at Loftus Road.
Taarabt is believed to be on a salary of 25,000 GBP per week, but hopes to at least double that with a new contract.
However, manager Neil Warnock wants the player to prove himself first: "There are plenty [in the queue] before him â me included.
"I donât see any new contracts for anybody before Christmas. Weâve all got things to prove and weâve got to do it consistently.
"When youâve had a good game for an hour, you donât start spouting.
"You start spouting when youâve got eight, nine, ten goals coming up to Christmas."
