Man City reject Tevez loan offer

Manchester City have rejected a loan offer from West Ham for controversial Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez. The striker played for West Ham back in 2007 and helped keep the Hammers in the top flight.

  • Sam Allardyce made an offer to Man City on Friday afternoon, and asked to bring Tevez to Upton Park on loan until January.

However, Man City immediately rejected the bid, and Tevez is unlikely to be playing any football for some time after his club suspended him for two weeks.

During Man City's 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening, manager Roberto Mancini asked Tevez to come on for the last ten minutes but Tevez reportedly refused.

Later on, Tevez denied that he did not want to play, instead insisting that he did not want to warm up.

It is believed that Manchester City will wait until mid December before deciding on whether or not to let Tevez leave.

Corinthians were close to completing a move for Tevez back in July, but the transfer window closed before the transfer could be wrapped up.
