Wilshere defends Arsenal manager

Wilshere defends Arsenal manager

06 October 2011 - 00:30

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has leapt to the defence of under fire Gunners manager Arsene Wenger. Arsenal have only won 2 of their first 7 games.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • But Wilshere still backs his French coach to come back from the criticism, and return the club to form.

"We haven't won anything for six years and that's not good enough," Wilshere told the Evening Standard.

"[The criticism we get] is harsh, though, especially on the boss. He has been great for Arsenal. The criticism Arsene gets is just a joke."
