James Collins eyes new Aston Villa contract

Aston Villa defender James Collins hopes that he will be able to agree terms on a new contract at Villa Park. Collins' current deal expires in 2013.

After an impressive start to the year, Collins now seeks financial security and the 28 year old wants to put pen to paper on a brand new deal.



“I’d love to extend my contract here and stay at Villa as long as I can. I’ve only just turned 28 so I think my best years are definitely still in front of me," said Collins.



“My family have settled in the area, so if the opportunity was to come I’d love to sign another contract.”
