Inter Milan join race for Gary Cahill

Inter Milan join race for Gary Cahill

21 October 2011 - 05:18

Inter Milan are the latest team linked with a move for Bolton defender Gary Cahill. Inter have not yet decided whether to make a move during the January transfer window, or wait until next summer when the centre back's contract expires.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Gary Cahill has found himself as a regular member of the England international team starting XI, and after impressive performances for club and country has attracted interest from abroad. Barcelona were also linked with the defender.

But it seems that Tottenham and Arsenal have withdrawn their interest in Cahill, as last week Harry Redknapp admitted he turned his attentions to other targets after failing in a move to sign Cahill last summer.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a big fan of Cahill, but baulked at their 20m GBP asking price.

Inter Milan though are ready to spend a considerable amount of money on the defender in January, with 12m GBP reserved for their pursuit of the Bolton defender.
