Chelsea eyeing Pato

Chelsea eyeing Pato

27 October 2011 - 22:51

Chelsea are preparing a mega bid for AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, and will look to wrap up a deal in January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Pato has been linked to Chelsea on multiple occasions, especially when Carlo Ancelloti was Chelsea's manager.

Despite having a very good scoring record, Pato has struggled to find his form lately, with Antonio Cassano and Zlatan Ibrahimovic taking his place in the side.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas rates the player highly and it is said that he will convince owner Roman Abramovich to make a mammoth £40 million bid to prise him away from the San Siro.

If Milan do decide to sell, they are most likely to have a bidding war on their hands with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona etc. looking to hijack any potential deal.
