Arsenal defender Sebastien Squillaci could be set to end his Emirates spell as Spanish side Espanyol have made an approach for the former Sevilla defender.
Squillaci has struggled to force his way into the first team since the arrival of Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen, and even Johan Djourou is now the fourth choice defender ahead of Squillaci. Competition at Arsenal is tough, and Mertesacker and Djourou join Laurent Koscielny and Thomas Vermaelen amongst Arsenal's wealth of talent.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger understands Squillaci's concerns with the lack of first team football, and is willing to let the Frenchman leave for a cut price 2.75m GBP during January.
Squillaci still has two years left on his contract at Arsenal.
