Wigan could make a move for midfielder Walter Montillo, the 27 year old Argentine midfielder currently playing in Brazil for Cruzeiro. The player is valued by Cruzeiro at around 5.2m GBP.

Roberto Martinez the Wigan boss has been tracking Montillo for several months, and is now ready to make a move for the attacking midfielder.<br />

Wigan will have no problems securing a work permit for the player, as he already holds dual nationality with his Italian roots.<br />

Cruzeiro will make their first offer prior to the January transfer window, once it reopens on January 1st.
