Real Madrid monitoring van Persie

11 December 2011 - 15:59

Real Madrid representatives are closely monitoring the situation of Robin van Persie. The Arsenal forward has so far refused to commit his future to the Emirates, despite his contract expiring in the summer of 2013. Sensational form this year has helped the forward score 33 goals in 2011, but Arsenal are desperate to tie the Dutchman to a fresh deal.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move
  • According to reports, Jose Mourinho has made van Persie his top target for next summer, as he looks to find a new striker partner for Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.<br />

Arsenal are preparing a 150,000 GBP per week contract for their captain though; subsequently van Persie will need to decide on his next destination by next July.
